Position Description
As a Facilities Plant Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of all the Pocatello site plant facility systems. You will be responsible for installing and maintaining all the instrumentation equipment in the facilities. You will also be responsible for installing and maintaining HVAC systems which includes chillers, boilers, cooling towers, and air-handlers. You will have the opportunity to operate and maintain the wide variety of equipment required to support the operation of a semiconductor plant, such as the deionized water system, chemical delivery systems, and waste water treatment system.
Position Requirements
Successful candidates for this position will have:
o Job knowledge and experience with air conditioning, refrigeration and heating systems; steam boilers and associated equipment and systems; hot and cold hydraulic systems; exhaust and scrubber systems; high-pressure air; fluid pumps and piping systems; electrical distribution and motor control centers; chemical handling; control systems; and ultrapure water and process gases.
o Knowledge and skills instrumentation by working with VFD and PLC.
o PLC programming preferred.
o Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both written and verbal format.
o Ability to work in a team environment. Must be self-motivated and able to interface effectively with other groups.
o Must effectively demonstrate initiative and be capable of follow-through on complicated technical problems.
o Minimum high School or GED; Associate Degree and Journeyman HVAC certificate preferred.
o Experience with mechanical, electrical and/or control systems preferred.
o Must be able to be certified to the following: respirator, SCBA, and Hazardous Materials handling.
o Must be able to work a 12-hour shift and weekend nights.
Applicants will be tested on their ability to use hand tools.
