Business Analyst and Project Manager



Job Summary
?Analyze problems facing our clients, capturing and documenting the functional requirements around which a solution can be developed.
?Work closely with other groups in Information Technology to ensure a solution is built which successfully addresses the business needs.
?Be the primary point of contact for the business and IT for a project.
?Manage small to large projects by maintaining project artifacts, communicating/coordinating with all project participants, and ensuring timely delivery.
?Develop and maintain internal client relationships.
?Direct involvement in a project to building out a co-located trading site.

Business Analysis Responsibilities
?Generate project artifacts that document requirements which facilitate the transfer of knowledge to all project participants. This may include:
?Functional and technical specifications.
?Workflow examples / diagrams.
?Use case examples / diagrams.
?User interface mock-ups.
?Entity relationship diagrams.

?Build templates, processes, and procedures to standardize the business analysis practice.
?Work closely with business users and IT counterparts to understand current work-flows, gather business/functional requirements, identify potential improvements, and manage client relationships. Coordinate and run requirements walk-throughs, verification with users, and sign-offs.
?Work closely with developers and other participants of a project by leading meetings to review requirements, ensuring they are understood and conducting any follow-ups needed to resolve open questions.
?Work with other IT groups to evaluate potential software solutions, including off-the-shelf and open source components to ensure that they meet business requirements.
?Build and execute test cases that will confirm business requirements have been met. Additionally, aid the design of regression tests by identifying relevant test cases.
?Proactively identify and document improvements that can be made to existing processes and work-flows for review and prioritization by the firm.


Project Management Responsibilities
?Generate and maintain project artifacts that document milestones, resources, task lists, project plans, etc.
?Work closely with and facilitate communication between all project participants
?Design, implement, and maintain project management process for each project based on needs (e.g. communication plan, artifacts needed, etc.)
?Author and present status updates, open questions, project health, etc. to stakeholders and steering committees.

Job Requirements
?Minimum 3-5 years? experience at a financial firm in a business analysis / project management role.


?Specific project experience in:
?Building out a co-located environment working with hardware specialists, networking specialists, developers, researchers, and traders
?Market Data and related connectivity in co-located environments.
?Use of and/or overseeing an implementation of a ticker plant (e.g. Redline, Exegy, etc.)
?PM/BA of broker connectivity (requirement gathering, establishment, oversight of implementation and testing, etc.) in a co-located environment.
?Low latency, high frequency trading environments for equities, futures, and FX.
?Electronic Trading Systems and the related workflow (e.g. limit checks, compliance checks, etc.)

?Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Finance, or equivalent combination of education and work experience in business analysis and project management.
?Prior experience working on 3rd party software implementations
?Prior experience in managing sizable projects (>15 participants, multiple departments, internal & external resources) within IT and/or the business
?Ability to interact, communicate effectively with users, developers, and management.
?Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with complex multi-faceted issues.
?Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to prepare and present complex data in a simple, understandable manner.
?Minimum intermediate knowledge of financial instruments (Equities, Fixed Income, FX, Futures) and the trade life-cycle (front/middle/back office, order entry, clearing & settlement, etc.).
?Strong knowledge in the area of requirements definition and the project life-cycle methodology.
?Basic familiarity with Agile Methodology
?Ability to perform successfully in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment and manage multiple priorities and assignments concurrently.
?Strong foundation in IT fundamentals. Experience in analysis and documentation tools like spreadsheet applications (e.g. Excel), diagramming software (e.g. Open Office Draw, MS Visio, Gliffy, Balsamiq), collaboration software (e.g. Jira, Confluence), database query applications, ER diagramming software, etc.
?Strong knowledge of SQL required.
?Basic familiarity with Unix/Linux environment required.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
