We are a friendly, reliable and motivated individuals to join our growing practice as
per-diem
Medical Receptionist in our OrangeOrthoNow clinic.
Shifts Available:
Shift 1 (22 hrs/wk): Monday - Thursday, 2:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Shift 2 (19 hrs/wk): Friday, 2:30-8:00 pm, Saturday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, and Sunday, 8:30 am - 2:00 pm
Additional hours available on an as-needed basis.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
o Strong customer orientation
o Demonstrative initiative and ability to multi-task
o Strong organizational skills and systems aptitude
o Solid computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office
o Knowledge on pre-approvals with insurance companies
o Knowledge of Workman's Compensation and Motor Vehicle Accidents is a plus
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
o High School Diploma or GED required
o Associate of Arts degree or higher preferred
o Minimum of two years of front desk experience with a medical practice, including electronic medical record-keeping and insurance authorizations
o Orthopaedic or Physical Therapy background preferred
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
o Follows all Connecticut Orthopedic Specialists P.C. policies and procedures include but not limited to human resources, clinic, administrative, HIPAA and compliance
o Greet patients and visitors, check in patients, verify and update necessary informationEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
