House Counsel I
The candidate will defend clients (firm) in pending litigation, travel when necessary. Will comply with all State Bar ethical standards and requirements expected of an attorney in good standing. Work and communicate with firm claims legal personnel in a prompt and efficient manner on all assigned litigation files. Maintain pending and closed litigation files in an efficient, professional and standardized (both electronic and paper files). Participate in quality assurance reviews of assigned files and house counsel office procedures. Work with house counsel office supervisor to maintain recurring management reports for the office. Oversee and assist in the training of the office paralegal. Oversee and assist in the training of the office secretary.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
