The candidate will report to the Law Vice President for the business. Will draft and review deal documentation, both on company forms and customer paper. Collaborate with colleagues (domestically and internationally), as well as management, to ensure that risks to the company are appropriately identified, assessed, and escalated in an efficient manner throughout the lifecycle of a transaction. Negotiate complex contractual provisions including liability limits, indemnity, warranty, software and other technology licensing, revenue recognition issues, and professional service issues, and develop solutions in deal-breaking situations. Coordinate with internal clients and legal subject matter experts, and with customers, on a number of different types of agreements including: non-disclosure, master solution, enterprise license, software-as-a-service, professional services, and multinational agreements. Develop a thorough understanding of company's business, strategy, policies, and culture. Build and maintain long-term relationships internally and with customers. Ensure best practices are implemented consistently. Develop, and support contract templates for use by contract managers and business clients. Monitor and advise on regulations and legislation relevant to technology used by the retail industry. Exercise judgment in advising business clients on contract interpretation, and on customer and supplier disputes (pre-litigation). Provide legal guidance to contract managers on an escalation basis for customer contracts.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
