The candidate will report to the Senior Intellectual Property counsel, and will work closely with Associate Intellectual Property counsel and IP paralegal. Will serve in the preparation and prosecution of US and foreign patent applications; supervision of outside counsel preparation and prosecution; infringement and clearance analysis; advising inventors and management on a variety of intellectual property matters; reviewing prior art search reports; perform due diligence analysis for potential acquisitions and investments; provide claim interpretation and portfolio analysis; and general client counseling on patent matters. Prepare and prosecute US and foreign patent applications. Prepare instructions for outside counsel to respond to office actions. Supervise outside counsel in the preparation and prosecution of patent applications. Conduct prior art searches. Supervise consultants in the conduct of prior art searches. Review prior art search reports. Draft informal opinions. Work closely with researchers and engineers to obtain complete invention disclosures. Advise inventors and management on a variety of intellectual property matters. Perform due diligence analysis. Provide claim interpretation and portfolio analysis. General client counseling on patent matters. Should have a USPTO registration. A background in any of mechanical engineering, biology, biological engineering aquaculture engineering, and sustainability may be applicable.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
