Assistant/Associate General Litigation Counsel
The candidate predominantly focuses on litigation of a broad range of matters in both state and federal court, including negligence, product liability, construction, employment and collection. Will provide counsel and advice and directly represent the company in litigated matters. Will have lead responsibility on those matters with limited supervision or direction. Should have Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school. Must be member in good standing of the New Jersey Bar. Should have 5-8 years of general litigation experience. Extensive First Chair trial experience is needed. Must have excellent oral and written communication, negotiation and presentation skills. Should have expertise in handling all aspects of litigation practice, including depositions, written discovery, arbitration/mediation, trial and appeal. Must have proven ability and willingness to handle various types of cases, including highly specialized and complex matters. Should have ability to exercise independent judgment, and to work with and maintain confidential and sensitive information. Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other business-related software.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
