Responsibilities:
Duty/Responsibility
Operate and maintain process equipment under FDA and cGMP guidelines and specifications.
This may require performing activities in a clean room with significant gowning requirements.
Confer with supervisory and technical personnel to report or resolve conditions affecting safety, product quality or process efficiency.
Performs some preventive and corrective maintenance to include various repairs on equipment.
Complete all documentation associated with manufacturing processes (i.e. batch records and logbooks) with detail and accuracy.
Follow all safety and compliance procedures and complete all training requirements
Basic
Qualifications:
Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED
2 years of experience in a chemical, pharmaceutical, or related process operation.
Applicants with a technical degree and no experience will be considered.
Qualified candidate must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this position.
Additional Skills/Preferences:
Familiar with using a computer, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and SAP.
Performs in a team based environment, willing to participate in team activities, serve in leadership roles, and be receptive to receiving and giving constructive coaching to their team members and management.
Able to handle change productively and handle other tasks as assigned.
High level of initiative
Excellent communications skills
Good attention to detail
I/E, Mechanical or Electrical maintenance background is desirable.
Additional Information:
Must be able to perform and review work in a manufacturing plant environment.
This includes ascending/descending ladders and stairs, wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment, wearing appropriate clean room garments, and able to lift 40 pound loads.
Duties may involve internal/external work in various climate/weather conditions associated with a manufacturing plant at any time.
The successful candidate is expected to respond to plant emergencies when required and be able to work 12 hour rotating shifts.
