Job Description:
As a full-time faculty member of the Developmental Reading/English/ACA department, instructional assignments may be day and/or evening at the Salisbury Campus, Concord Campus, CBTC location, Cloverleaf Plaza, or NCRC locations. It is the responsibility of the instructor to maintain the quality and effectiveness of his/her instruction through ongoing reflecting and revision of course elements and syllabi. Accurate record keeping is also essential. Assistance with recruitment, advising and retention of students is also expected of the faculty member. He/She will be asked to work with other members of the Developmental English faculty in establishing recommendations for curriculum concerns and growth. The individual may be appointed to serve on various committees and study groups. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as well (9 month full-time position.
Required Education/Experiece/Skills:
Master's Degree in Education, English, Reading, or related field required. Must be committed to the open door philosophy and be a positive team player.
Preferred Education/Experience/Skills:
Prefer technological skills and experience with Blackboard, Aplia and/or Write Experience programs.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
