This is a Merchandising position responsible for analyzing the designated category in order to achieve sustainable and profitable sales growth for locally sourced products.
Responsibilities:
Essential Skills and Knowledge
Ability to select and apply standard policies and procedures.
Ability to resolve routine problems and questions independently.
Good oral and written communication skills with ability to furnish information to those requesting status of change.
Ability to plan and carry out assigned projects, resolve most of the conflicts, coordinate work with others and interpret policy on own initiative.
Ability to independently and proactively resolve problems within established parameters.
Ability to understands team dynamics and work well within a team structure.
Essential Duties __
Provides support for vendor/broker relationships.
Creates/extends new materials.
Creates/extends new vendors.
Responsible for profitability management, including profit analysis, logistics review, agreement reviews/approvals, PO Cost Monitor and cash discounts.
Requests approval for new item special orders.
Maintains cross dock and pallet forward.
Provides support for vendor returns along with aging, slow, excess and dead items.
Maintains substitution table.
Qualifications:
Basic Requirements:
Bachelor''s degree from four-year College or University.
2-5 years of Merchandising experience.
