I. BASIC FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
Manages material cost, schedule, and performance to support program objectives and events. Serves as the key conduit between the program, supplier base, and company functional organizations to ensure that program objectives are met. Develops and implements supply chain strategy, supports supplier selection and management throughout the entire subsystem or component product life cycle.
II. PRIMARY DUTIES AND
Responsibilities: (Duties and responsibilities which occupy a major portion of time and importance in the job. Incumbent(s) perform one or more of the following duties.)
1. PLANNING: In conjunction with program management, procurement and matrixed functional groups, assess program needs, develop the supply chain strategy, support make/buy analysis, develop program material plans, develop partnering agreements, support business development, and proposal efforts including development of program material cost estimates and budgets. Ensure supplier agreements are utilized and cost take out opportunities are realized to the maximum extent practicable to support program objectives.
2. MANAGEMENT AND ADMINISTRATION: Manage program supply chain cost, schedule, quality and performance. Provide direction to matrixed personnel that are designated to manage specific suppliers. Ensure that supply chain initiative and recommendations are implemented. Attend program staff meetings as necessary and communicate supply chain status to the program team. Ensure that supply chain risks are identified and documented in the risk register, and proactively ensure that risks are mitigated. Lead the supply chain transition from design and development into production. Ensure program execution is compliant to material plan requirements. Lead cross functional teams or suppliers in leaning out company and supplier processes, procedures, and/or manufacturing flow.
3. COMPLIANCE: Ensure that all supply chain activities are conducted in accordance with all applicable compliance requirements, including but not limited to: FAR/DFARs, ITAR, ISO, procurement and company policies and procedures.
4. Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with safety objectives and policies.
5. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.
Required Education: College Degree Required Experience & Required Skills: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience with at least twelve (12) years of factory planning, material management or related experience with managing people, costs, and schedules. Experience managing challenging Dept. of Defense Programs. Experience managing cost, factory schedule, and quality attributes. Ability to evaluate program needs, identify and develop integrated and detailed supply chain and return to green plans. Ability to effectively direct personnel from various functional departments. Ability to effectively influence supplier performance including the implementation of corrective actions and recovery plans as necessary. Experience or familiarity with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) required. Experience required in developing and communicating program requirements to supply base. (In addition to the items listed above, the Essential Functions are: 1. Exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of duties set forth in Section II above. 2. Communicate effectively both orally and in writing; 3. Exhibit sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing, coordinating and negotiating with company personnel, customers and suppliers; 4. Utilize computer skills to prepare appropriate reports and documents; 5. Make decisions using sound judgment while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles and applicable state and federal laws and regulations; 6. Analyze, evaluate, develop and implement processes and systems within budget and adhere to time requirements and schedule; 7. Design and develop services using state-of-the-art technology, principles, theories and concepts. 8. Detailed level and understanding of ERP/MRP principles. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
