Job Description
The person who fills this position will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of major accounting information for the company. The position requires a proficiency in the areas of account reconciliations, problem solving, process improvement, and financial analysis. The position also requires a wide range of skills, including the processing of transactions in the general ledger system, working well with others in a team atmosphere, supporting the month end closing process, and reconciling the general ledger to subledgers for key areas of responsibility.

Responsibilities:
Coordinate and prepare significant account reconciliations and analysis
Assist with SAP systems management and testing
Work with Financial Leadership to implement better reporting and analysis
Identify areas for process improvement and work with appropriate Corporate and business units to design, test, and implement solutions
Provide training and development opportunities to the general ledger team
Design, implement, and maintain standardized accounting practices
Work closely with business units finance staff, Internal Audit, Corporate staff departments, external auditors, offshore resources, and other key members of the Corporate Controller s group
Provide analysis, insight, and reconciliation of acquisitions, lease accounting, restructuring activities, impairment analysis, and other requests from senior management

Required Skills:
Bachelor s degree in Accounting (preferred) or Finance
MBA and/or CPA preferred.
3-5 years of professional accounting experience required
Strong technical and analytic skills required
Ability to multitask and manage shift priorities and deadlines, with attention to detail and an ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Understanding of multi-entity accounting and intra/intercompany eliminations
Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting theory
Ability to design and implement complex reconciliations and general ledger reports
Excellent problem solving, communication, interpersonal, analytical, and time management skills required
Accounting Shared Service experience in a large, multi-national, publicly-held corporation preferred
Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), Essbase, and SAP system experience preferred

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
