Job Description
The ideal candidate will be comfortable following and implementing detailed instructions, be able to maintain the bindery equipment in good operating condition, have the ability to foresee and trouble shoot quality issues under ISO standards, and be responsible for safety, direction, training, productivity, and quality of crew s work. Experience on Mueller Martini patent binders and stitchers preferred.
Responsibilities
Ensures that production goals are met.
Troubleshoots problems to maintain quality standards and to keep binding line equipment in running condition - request maintenance as required.
Examines product frequently to ensure that it meets customer quality and ISO specifications.
Pulls and inspects run samples and notifies appropriately in the event quality standards are not being met.
Cleans, lubricates and maintains assigned machine to ensure its optimum operation.
Runs the binding line.
Coordinates the assignment of crewmembers.
Provides training for new team members.
Adheres to and promotes all safety policies and procedures including, but not limited to the proper handling of hazardous waste, lock out - tag out rules and hearing and eye protection policies.
Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.
Follows the requirements of documented processes as defined in the ISO Quality Manual.
Required Skills
High school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience preferred.
Results orientation, safety focus, process knowledge, and successful crew leadership a plus.
Must be able to work in a team environment.
Required Experience
Minimum 1-3 years bindery manufacturingexperience required.
Must have general working knowledge of patent binders, stitchers and 3-knife trimmers.
