Key areas of focus for this position will be the following:
Responsible for maintaining SAS environments including installations, configuration, performance tuning, monitoring, and support.
The operation of the SAS Grid queues / jobs, their prioritization, pre-emption, scheduling, and management
OS administration for the SAS Grid environment
Participation in key architectural and engineering decisions as they relate to the SAS environment.
SAS platform troubleshooting and performance optimization.
Manage metadata repositories, administer user access, and security
Collaborate with development and user communities in support of their use of SAS
Provide a reliable and available BI environment for all internal and external users, ensure the environment is available to end users by minimizing number and duration of outages.
Provide training to SAS analysts to create consistent approaches and create best practices. Also educate on new upgrades, platforms, etc. Bachelor''s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT Project Management
Must have deep knowledge of software development and maintenance lifecycles (SDLC's), ITIL and software engineering methods
Hands-on experience in SAS Grid, Unix etc
Ability to rapidly master client specific ADM process, Lean Method, models and tools and provide application leadership and mentoring
Critical thinking, problem solving skills, capability to drive execution and exceptional team results.
Strong proactive client management systems and technology deliveries and influencing at the senior-most levels in the organization.
Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills, confidence and ability to interact in a highly matrix environment.
Ability to manage and resolve roadblocks to allow team progress.
