Assists UIC customers and sales and field service personnel by providing technical advice and information on production equipment in assigned product families. Based on product performance data from customers and field service engineers, coordinates problem resolution which may require changes to product manuals or maintenance procedures as well as design modifications.
1. Assists customers via telephone or e-mail to resolve mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, process and/or software problems associated with the operation, programming, troubleshooting and maintenance of UIC products.
2. Analyzes performance reports from customers to ascertain nature and scope of problem, determine the source of the problem, and recommend appropriate repair, replacement and/or corrective action.
3. Coordinates internal resources such as Engineering, Field Engineering, Quality Control, Parts Distribution, or other functional organizations to expedite problem resolution.
4. Utilizes the CSD database and guidelines to escalate customer product performance issues to management.
5. Analyzes reports of technical problems to identify trends affecting future design, production, service and maintenance processes; may recommend design or process modifications to avoid future problems.
6. May provide assistance for upgrades to enhance customers'' machine performance or to address changing process needs (retrofits).
7. May visit customer sites (domestic and overseas) to either collect data on improvements to UIC products, assist Field Engineering, or to provide technical assistance or training.
8. Prepares service information and bulletins based on customer performance issues, engineering changes and overall product knowledge.
9. Maintains up-to-date product documentation on assigned products.
10. Administers warranty policy for assigned Products.
11. May assist in designing internal and external product training.
12. Maintain on-line records of customer performance issues. Input solutions into the appropriate knowledge base.
Minimum Requirements:
Associate''s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Technology (Bachelors degree preferred) and five to seven years experience in the assembly or repair of automated circuit board assembly equipment, including significant customer contact OR 7
years directly related experience and on-the-job training. Language skills a plus.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
