Job Description:
We are looking for a locomotive Mechanical Superintendent with heavy railway or commuter railroad experience.
The Mechanical Superintendent will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the maintenance of rolling stock equipment. Will also be responsible for all rolling stock maintenance activities (scheduled and unscheduled), inspections, cleaning, fueling and sanding, water supplies and waste removal, repairs and replacement of consumables, light overhauls, improvements, and retrofits.
Be responsible of maintaining, operating, and repairing non-revenue rail vehicles as well as scheduling all maintenance and inspection activities;
Be ensuring compliance to all applicable laws, rules, and regulations such as FRA, APTA, DOT, EPA, FTA, and RMRTD;
Be responsible for the maintenance staff across all facilities;
Manage, monitor, coordinate and control all aspects of car and locomotive maintenance programs, processes, resources and activities relating to extra work projects;
Manage measure and analyze all equipment reliability key performance indicators. You will Identify failure trends, develop reliability improvement strategies and processes and complete reliability studies for the Customer;
Be the Project manager for all extra work projects, modifications and new car warranty modifications;
Deploy and utilize the company processes as they pertain to work scope including SAP, Maximo, and the preparation. administration of the department's annual budget;
Be responsible for all new car commissioning including equipment testing and compliance repairs (as and when required);
Other responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, daily, monthly, and annual reporting requirements pertaining to the maintenance of equipment; assisting in updating the Car History Books; and supervising the utilization of the Rolling Stock Maintenance Management Information System (Maximo
Qualifications:
You hold a Bachelors degree in a related field;
You possess 10 years of experience at a Senior Manager level supervising the inspection & repair forces maintaining Coaches & Locomotives
Your English communication skills are excellent.
