Individual is responsible for overseeing the distilling operation according to the standards set by federal, state and local agencies and company policy. Coordinates necessary maintenance actions to maintain production. Monitors production to ensure that the schedule is met. Responsible for solving production related problems. Manages personnel working in the department.
# SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Plans, organizes, directs, monitors and evaluates the production of the distillery department.
1. Monitors and enforces all Company, OSHA, EPA, Union and Safety regulations, rules and policies.
1. Maintains production and quality control records.
1. Supervises boiler personnel on off-shifts.
1. Establishes work schedules, methods, procedures and priorities.
1. Completes additional responsibilities and duties as assigned.
Must Strong planning and organizational ski
Must Working knowledge of MS Office Products (Word, Excel
and Outlook
Must Successful Track Record of Developing Subordinates into
high-achieving, professional employees with positive
attitudes.
Must Demonstrate successfully completed process
improvement or best practice initiatives.
Must Experience with administering a Plant-wide or
Departmental Safety Program
Must 3 to 6 years relevant experience
Preferred Exp in Distribution and Manufacturing software
Preferred Exp with Infor System21 ERP Software
Preferred Experience managing in a union environment
Preferred Experience with thee tier distribution system
Preferred Wine and spirits industry experience
Preferred Supply Chain Experience
Preferred Participation in CSCMP and/or ISM
Preferred Exp with supervising a fast paced, high-demand
environment with more then 10 hourly employees as
direct reports
