years of professional information technology experience pertinent to business intelligence, progam development knowledge/technologies, data warehouses and database architectures, 3
years job experience in IBM Cognos (worldwide operations and solution building), 3
years job experience with business-critical IT systems, global IT architectures, projects and services, Advanced skills in Operating Systems (Windows Server 2008, SuSE Linux), Advanced skills in IIS, ActiveDirectory, LDAP, Apache Webservers, Rich experience in international projects and working environments, Profound Know-how in IT Security, Firewalls, Network, Database technology, Data Warehousing, Data modeling, Reporting, Dashboarding Structured working method and documentation skills Good team and communication skills, motivation and personal initiative, College / university degree in computer science or comparable qualification
Responsibilities:
Product responsibility and maintenance management for BMW BI IBM Cognos plattform worldwide, Build responsibility for BMW BI IBM Cognos related projects, Further development and 3rd level support for IBM Cognos solution and services worldwide, Steer the vendor and provider (with regards to optional build tasks) as needed, Conduct ramp-up, hand over fixes and new solutions to operations team with all relevant documentation Create and provide security concept, platform user guideline, best practices handbook, migrations concepts Strategic positioning and license planning long-term, Setup of service catalog and service charging model Problem solver within Problem Management Chief architect for the BMW BI standard platforms Technical release management (TRM), including life cycle management, TRM planning and setup, providing TRM release-characteristics, driving the blueprint process, ConnectIT documentation, test case specification and test execution Manage the change control board (CCB) Consulting for projects (with agreed, signed work package) Requirements management, evaluation and prioritization of maintenance activities (cost/benefit), technical release management (in negotiation and collaboration with the responsible BMW functions and departments)Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
