JOB SUMMARY
Travel extensively and perform service, site acceptance testing, installation supervision and commissioning of control, automation and protection systems used at electric power generating plants.

REQUIREMENTS:
q BSME or BSEE and 2 years relevant experience
q Knowledge of PLC based control systems
q Knowledge of hydraulic systems
q Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical drawings
q Excellent commissioning and troubleshooting skills
q Experience using mechanical, electrical and hydraulic test equipment
q Ability to respond in a timely manner to customer requirements for service
q Able to perform all functions of the job
q Required to live in Wisconsin and work from the engineering facility for 2 years

DESIREABLE:
q Experience with Automation Systems, SCADA Systems, Excitation Systems, Protective Relays and Switchgear
q Experience with mechanical, analog and PLC based turbine controls for hydro, steam, diesel or gas powered applications
q Experience with PLC programming
q Experience with Contractor Installation Services
q Working knowledge of Spanish or French languages

Essential Functions:
q Successfully perform site acceptance testing, installation supervision, installation and commissioning of equipment
q Perform routine maintenance of control systems
q Troubleshoot and tune control systems including all associated mechanical, hydraulic and electrical equipment
q Provide Customer training on governors and control systems including component maintenance
q Accurate documentation and recordkeeping

q Excellent customer relations and site management skills
q Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
q Very good oral and written communication skills
q Proficient use of personal computer, operating knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Project
q Willingness to learn new skills and approaches to dealing with problems
q Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude
q Work effectively as an individual and in a team environment
q Be a Self-starter, effectively perform duties without guidance
q Positive attitude
q Periodically work extended hours to complete project specific requirements
q Ability to travel 70% throughout US and Canada, potentially in Australia and Latin America
q Able to enter Canada; eligible for TN Visa to enter U.S.
q Able to wear personal protective equipment; hearing protection, hard hat, safety glasses, etc.
q Valid driver's license, able to be insured
q Valid passport or ability to obtain one
q Possess practical operating knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Project
q Fluent in English language
q Authorized to accept employment in U.S.
q Support Engineering division as requested
q Ability to use hand and power tools effectively and safely
q When on call, respond to customer service calls 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
