Description
The Communications Officer provides support to ISC's US Climate and Environment Team. Primary responsibilities include writing, editing, and project management across a range of communications materials, including websites, e-newsletters, print materials, social media, videos, and presentations.

Responsibilities
- Developing and producing materials for ISC's Climate Leadership Academies (see examples at www.sustainablecommunitiesleadershipacademy.org)
- Producing content for social media and the SCLA e-newsletter
- Supporting development of project websites
- Supporting ISC's communications strategy
- Managing multiple projects and timelines for a wide range of program activities

Qualifications
The successful candidate will have an undergraduate or higher degree in a relevant field; 3-5 years of professional experience in communications, outreach, marketing, or public relations, including extensive nonprofit experience; outstanding writing and editing skills, in particular the ability to convey complex topics in simple, but not simplistic, terms; and excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
In addition, the following technical skills will be a big plus: experience with InDesign and HTML; experience with videography and photography; and experience with SalesForce.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
