We are looking for a qualified, professional individual to join our client's Information Technology team and serve in the role of Security Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, development and implementation of IT security solutions for network, systems and applications and productivity tools. The candidate would be an experienced security engineer with proven knowledge of security practices, their implementation and maintenance. He or she will lead period vulnerability assessments, process audits and other regulatory activities. The candidate must be able to combine in- depth technical knowledge with a creative ability to identify and demonstrate potential vulnerabilities in complex systems. Full compensation package provided.
Duties Include:
? Collects and maintains an inventory of key applications, processes, and infrastructure items and their impact to the top and most pressing IT security risk security risks. Additionally, maps applications, processes, and infrastructure items to appropriate security risks.
? Leads activities to identify key controls (policy, procedure, practice, or organizational structure) that if implemented would provide reasonable assurance that security objectives will be achieved and undesired
events
will be prevented or detected and corrected
? Leads activities to review, develop, and implement security plans, products, and control techniques
? Define, review and enforce information security policy, standards and guidelines for business operations and technology implementations
? Proactively identify IT security risks including IT technical implementations or business processes
? Conduct security assessments and audits, penetration testing, forensic IT and incident management
? Coordinate Group-wide IT Security matters such as incident response, intrusion detection management and IT Security advisories
? Work together with software development teams to define security objectives and guidelines
? Lead and participate in security project implementations
? Oversees and coordinates security efforts across the enterprise including hosted operations,
engineering, communications, legal and other groups to identify security initiatives and standards.
? Responsible for ensuring the security infrastructure is designed, implemented, and
operated in a highly effective and disciplined manner.
? Maintain advanced knowledge of the implications of legislated requirements that impact security for the enterprise. This includes but is not limited to PCI Data Security Standard ( PCI DSS) and ISO27001.
Requirements:
? Linux systems administration including scripting File Systems management and other key
administrative knowledge
? Perl, Bash, PHP and Windows Powershell scripts a strong plus
? Good knowledge of security management, auditing methodology, technology risk assessment is
required
? Bachelors degree preferred or relevant work experience
? Expertise with Juniper, Cisco Telecomm equipment and Security best practices
? Relevant Certifications which are a plus: CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, CISSP
? Firewall and Intrusion Detection Management experience
? Independent and able to perform tasks with minimal supervision
? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with good writing and communication skills
? Self-motivated, positive attitude and a team player
? Experience with security compliance assessments such as SAS70, ISO27001 and PCI.
? Experience in deployment of security policies and processes within an organization.
? Prioritization and organization skills relevant to SLA management and operational support.
? Excellent communications skills. The engineer will be a member of triage teams, ability to
quickly and clearly communicate observations is critical.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
