Title: Application Developer
Location: Alexandria, VA
Job Description:
o Application Developers to be integral members of our development team and help build data driven web and mobile application systems
o Serve as Applications Developer to support multiple on- going projects as well as develop new customized applications
o Interact with project teams and clients to determine project needs and translate those needs into robust but simple solutions
o Help identify the right blend of technologies to make our product successful
o Document application and data designs for non- technical clients
o Help promote application and data management best practices on projects
Skills Required:
o Two to six years' experience developing web applications within enterprise architectures
o Proficiency with Microsoft .NET Technologies and Framework
o Very strong use of the following software languages and frameworks: C#.NET, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
o Very strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server
o Excellent communication and problem- solving skills, with experience interfacing directly with business end- users in design and requirements planning
o Demonstrate ability to work as part of an integrated solution development team
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Candidate must demonstrate advanced technical writing skills through writing samples
o Ability to manage tasks and timelines effectively
Skills Preferred:
o Experience with developing customized application solutions in GIS is a plus
