Provide senior technical leadership. Work with both the Operations and Development teams - Provide insight to development teams with regard to operational/administrative concerns during the development lifecycle and lead efforts around application deployment design; support Operations team to triage Operational application and or configuration issues, capacity planning and best practices.


This position requires the ability to document clear sets of standards, processes and procedures for the application server environment.

Principal Accountability:

Tomcat Server/Application Administration and Tuning
Application Performance Monitoring and Tuning
JAVA Virtual Machine tuning and optimizations
Experience with using/administering the following technologies - Linux, Load Balancers, LDAP, Web Servers, DNS etc
Application Deployments
Ant Scripting
Scripting (Perl/Pyhton/Shell )
Evaluate new technologies
Capacity Planning
Make infrastructure design recommendations - virtualization
Streamline J2EE administrative processes
Perform problem analysis - Understanding Java Stack Traces and Thread Dumps
Identify application reliability issues and make fixes where appropriate.
Provide Documentation and Design for best practices


RTH and contract only submittals will be accepted

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
