Requirements
B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering
1-5 years of mechanical engineering experience in a production, manufacturing or plant environment.
Experience working in a safe manner that promotes the health and well-being of the individual and the environment.
Analytical thinking and problem solving skills.
Have solid background using PC software applications include the Microsoft office suite of products.
Be familiar with applicable codes, regulations and standards.
Strong written and verbal communication skills required. Both informal and formal project written documentation will be required. Presentation skills sufficient to communicate thoughts succinctly to management. Routine communication with customers and vendors.
Job Description
The Maintenance Engineer provides engineering/technical expertise to the maintenance department.
position
is accountable for assuring equipment reliability, mechanical integrity and will serve as technical specialist for plant rotating equipment.
Provides support to Sr. Engineers on projects and provides troubleshooting to Maintenance and Operations personnel on mechanical issues throughout the plant.
Provides working knowledge and understanding of the mechanical principles and procedures on plant equipment.
Develops and manages equipment inspection programs, reviewing inspections, troubleshooting equipment problems and facilitating equipment repairs, developments and assures adherence to weld and
repair
procedures and interaction with AI's and State inspectors.
Insures that changes in maintenance procedures, that are a result of modifying current equipment or a new installation, are communicated with other departments.
Manages projects as necessary for plant support.
Actively participates in turnaround and/or plant shutdown activities.
Insures that proper safety procedures are specified and documented on all planned

Reports to: MT ManagerEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
