NiSource Inc. is seeking a candidate to manage the general and auto liability, workers#39; compensation and other liability claims in a fast-paced corporate risk
management
environment. This position is accountable for coordination of claims management across outside vendors, operating companies and internal corporate customers while mitigating the financial risks of the organization. This position will report directly to the Director, Corporate Insurance and is responsible for the development and engagement of the claims management team.Responsibilities include:Directly responsible for the work product of the claims team, their professional development and level of employee engagementMonitor and audit liability and workersiquest; compensation claims for compliance with reserve policies and best practiceManagement of various Third-Party Administrator claims servicesMaintain favorable, proactive relationships with internal and external legal counselLiaise with NiSource business units on complex cases and serve as a resource to address their individual needs and concernsEnsure claims function is performing at or above relevant industry benchmarksInteraction with insurers, reinsurers and brokers to resolve coverage issuesRespond to data requests for insurance renewals,
accounting
accruals, benchmarking and program assessmentsUse RMIS
systems
to track aggregates and supply inputs to monthly financial reportingiquest;Prepare and file accurate and timely reports to the various state Workersiquest; Compensation Boards on coverage and state-specific issuesiquest;Business travel estimated at 25% Location Merrillville

This position requires the following special skills/characteristics:Eight to ten years of liability claims experience with an energy or large industrial companyUndergraduate degree from a four year, accredited college or universityCPCU, ARM or other insurance designations preferredFull understanding of primary and excess liability insurance policies, including self-insured retention and high deductible programsWorking experience / knowledge with captive insurers and captive insurance programsWorking knowledge of differences across various state workersiquest; compensation boards within the NiSource footprintWorking knowledge of Risk Management Claims SystemsExcellent interpersonal negotiation skillsStrong written and oral presentation skillsiquest;Ability to work under pressureiquest;Ability to work in a team environmentiquest;Self-motivated and professional

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
