Quality Assurance Supervisor - $70-80K High Volume Consumer Products Manufacturing - Manage & develop skills of the Process Quality Auditor Staff; Directly supervise staff including scheduling, attendance, progressive discipline, etc; Coach & develop staff members to correct weak points and stretch their capabilities; Support staff with documentation & training for changes to their processes - Provide Quality Assurance support to Operations, Engineering, & Materials; Implement/improve reliable measurement systems that minimize subjective interpretation; Drive improvement of Auditor processes such as inspection, auditing, NCM control, etc; Monitors material quality and drives corrective/preventive action with supply base - Support specific departments & teams with Quality Engineering skills/expertise; Review designs & specifications for processes & product to identify key control requirements; Drive prevention of defects with solid design of quality control equipment and/or systems; Work with Engineering & Operations to qualify new/changed processes prior to release; Evaluate processes & products which present quality problems & recommend improvements; Develop & implement process/product performance measurement systems.
B.S. Degree Engineering Preferred (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Process) - Five (5) years in a Quality Assurance leadership role including managing hourly colleagues - Process, Manufacturing, Quality, or Mechanical engineering job experience in manufacturing - Coaching, mentoring, teaching and facilitation skills are critical. Excellent interpersonal verbal & written communications skills required. Ability to use structured problem solving (8D, 5 WHY, FMEA, DOE, 6). Experience with process monitoring techniques (SPC, Pre-Control, Cpk/Ppk). Detailed knowledge of ISO 9001:2008 quality management system standard. Quality System and process auditing experience/skills are required. Solid working knowledge in application of statistics and statistical process controls. Ability to collect, organize, and present data to make a decision/conclusion. Excellent
computer
skills, particularly with MS Excel & Minitab. Can interpret engineering drawings & specifications. Teamwork/Collaborative style a must. Experience in administration of Document Control is a plus. Understanding of R&R procedures for measurement systems desired. Exposure to customers making consumer products a plus.
Previous experience in a LEAN environment desired.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
