Staff Auditors will be called upon to work on administrative projects within the department or within the Company, and will be assigned work in connection with the annual audit examination by the external auditors.
Essential Functions: Completes detailed audit work as part of organizational and functional audit reviews. Perform tests to determine if organizational units are performing their financial and operational
control
activities cost-effectively, and in accordance with Company and unit business plans and objectives.Prepares workpapers documenting results of the tests, and with assistance, writes formal audit comments which identify and quantify the impact on business operations. With assistance, reports opportunities for improved efficiencies and controls to
management
and makes appropriate recommendations. Continues to develop professionally through self-study and on-the-job training, with emphasis on: a) developing knowledge of and ability to apply appropriate auditing techniques and accounting principles; b) improving effective business communication skills, both written and oral; c) demonstrating the characteristics of a professional, both in attitude and conduct; and d) preparing for and obtaining professional and industry certifications.Assists in the coordination and implementation of audit work for the external with team members to accomplish projects. Completes other projects as assigned.This position has occasional travel requirements.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
