RESPONSIBILITIES
The Field Service Technician is responsible for providing service by traveling daily to customer locations to diagnose,
repair
and maintain digital copiers, printers, fax, multifunctional and connected digital products. Manages service territory, maintains stock and parts inventory as well as provides outstanding customer service.
The Field Service Technician plans equipment service work by studying requests, planning, routing and confirming appointments. Documents service actions by completing forms, reports, logs and records. As well as demonstrate hands-on knowledge of the specifications, features, capabilities and benefits of office equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
This
position
requires an Associate's Degree with specialization in one of the following:
electromechanical
, electronic, information technology or equivalent background. Candidates with three or more years of copier industry repair experience are preferred. Successful candidates must possess
computer
proficiency with an understanding of commonly-used software programs and the basics of computer networks.
Excellent listening, interpersonal, communication, customer service and observation skills are essential. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and be able to transport and meet equipment lifting requirements.
