Position Purpose
Provide overall planning and management of chapter accounting and budgeting process, investments, purchasing, office management and contractual activities and information technology functions required to support the chapter and division offices. Participate as an active member of the chapter management team. Manage one FTR and one PTT staff
Position Responsibilities
o Manage daily accounting and operational activities and applicable support staff of the chapter.
o Participate in financial planning; prepare and monitor chapter, division and department budget.
o Ensure that the chapter s financial records are current and accurate and that balance sheet accounts are reconciled.
o Prepare all financial records for yearly audit and manage audit process.
o Prepare financial reports, analysis and variance statements.
o Survey/analyze financial conditions to ensure maximum return on chapter investments. Work in concert with Finance Committee.
o Review and approve all proposed contracts and contractual obligations for the chapter.
o Provide management control over equipment and supplies.
o Recruit, hire, train and develop staff in areas of responsibility. May oversee temporary workers, outside contractors, vendors, and volunteer activities.
o Develop and maintain procedures regarding office administration.
o Perform or assist with cost analysis of
events

o Oversee and/or perform system administrator functions in adherence to March of Dimes (MOD) information technology standards including management of MOD-specific databases such as Chapter Walk Management System (FRED)and Volunteer Donor and Event Management System (CRM)Be able to train staff and managers in using these systems for reporting.
Ensure timely and accurate accounting reporting and compliance with the Finance Policies and Procedures.
Qualifications Required
o Bachelor s degree in accounting or related field or equivalent.
o 5 - 7 years job related experience for medium and large chapters)
Able to work in a fast pace environment with multi tasking
Need strong organizational and time management skills
o Knowledge of accounting and accounting systems, such as JD Edwards, Peach Tree, and/or Quick Books.
o Excellent working experience with word processing and spreadsheet applications (Microsoft Office preferred); Internet and e-mail, especially Microsoft Outlook.
o Supervisory management experience
o Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, problem solving, planning, implementation, organization, leadership, and team building skills.
o Must be detail oriented.
o Ability to lift, carry, and/or move boxes and/or equipment.
o Ability to use a printer, telephone, copier and fax machine.
o Must successfully complete a credit and criminal background check.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
