Location: 6 months +

Job Description:
The successful candidate must be knowledgeable of and experienced with designing and developing enterprise-level web-based applications using C#, Javascript, and the .NET Framework. In addition, prior development experience in Geospatial (GIS) development or experience developing using BI frameworks such as SAS or BPM frameworks such as Pega is highly desired. Principal responsibilities include:
Develop code (primarily using MS Visual Studio in .NET and C# environment) with an emphasis on both front-end methodologies and server-side programming;
Design and develop web
services
components for cross-application solutions;
Interact with system designers and provide feedback on design modules;
Perform initial and regression testing on developed code; and
Work well as part of a development team including other Developers, System and Business Analysts, DBAs, QA/Testers, and Technical Writers using Agile/Scrum practices.
Education and
Experience:
BS in
computer
Science, Software Engineering, I.T., or similar degree

years of overall I.T. experience
4
years of direct experience hands-on experience designing and developing web-based applications in C#/.NET
Candidates without a college degree will be considered, but must at least 8 years of relevant development experience
Qualifications: Required Skills and Competencies:
Microsoft .NET, C# and ASP.NET enterprise-class web development experience software development experience
Web Services development experience
JavaScript development experience - working knowledge of jQuery preferred
Strong Object Oriented design and implementation skills
Cross-browser HTML development experience - HTML5 experience a plus
Experience with SQL, RDBMS (preferably SQL Server), and database principles
Experience in full software development life cycle (requirements gathering through development and test to maintenance)
Operating system experience with Windows 7, and Windows Server 2008
Knowledge of Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS 7 and up preferred)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Desired Skills:
Understanding of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) development
Microsoft SQL Server 2008 geospatial, basic data modeling principles
AJAX, DHTML/XHTML, XML, XSLT development experience
Experience with source code management tools (Subversion preferred)
Microsoft Office Products including Visio and Project
Comfortable in Agile Development Methodology, especially Scrum
Knowledge/experience working with SAS BI tools
Knowledge/experience with the Java EE architecture and design for web applications, including developing Java Web applications (Servlets, JSP, JDBC/SQL, Web Services, JSF or other web frameworks, Applets)
