The Software Engineer will provide technical engineering and architecture support including requirements analysis, system engineering, operations and maintenance, network/systems administration and security and configuration management. The role will lead/mentor developers and participate in a small, experienced energetic team on a rapid, agile development schedule.
Conduct analysis of operational, technical, systemic requirements and gap analysis for required modifications to maintain network infrastructure
Ensure the environments are properly maintained
Develop new functionality on existing software products
Build new systems using .NET technologies
Build and maintain internal and external facing web applications
Prepare documentation as required
Pilot testing for new project implementations
Evaluate code to ensure that it is valid, properly structured, meets industry standards and is compatible with browsers, devices or operating systems
Strong background in building scalable, predictable, high-quality web applications on the Microsoft technology stack.
Working knowledge of NET 3.5/4.0, Visual Studio 2008, JavaScript, VB.NET, ASP.NET, Telerik development tools and Sharepoint
Ability to design and optimize SQL Server 2008 stored procedures
Knowledge of SQL Server 2008/WCF Web
services
/JQuery/WCF Data Services
Experience with designing and working with n-tier architectures (UI, Business Logic Layer, Data Access Layer) along with experience with service-oriented architectures (SOA)
Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
Education and work
Experience:

B.S. Degree in
computer
Science or related field preferred
5 years experience

Clearance Requirement: Yes - Top Secret Clearance required
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
