BridgePoint Consulting a global IT Consultancy & Talent Acquisition Practice located in Portsmouth, NH is seeking a Python Software Engineer for a 9
month contract in Andover, MA. Our client is a leading provider of cloud
services
and scalable solutions; they have an immediate need for a Self Motivated Python Software Engineer, focused on feature development, software changes, and defect management for core portions of the OSS software stack. The selected candidate should have a broad technology background, with primary software development skills in Python and will also have exposure to infrastructure, both physical and virtualized, use cases such as automated provisioning of application platforms, service level test and measurement, and triggering automated recovery actions are all applicable.
Required
Experience:
8
years of demonstrable expertise with the Python language
Experience with large volume, highly scalable, distributed systems
Strong Linux/UNIX experience, including shell scripting
Relational database knowledge, SQL
Experience with structured programming languages such as Java, C#, or C++
Strong written and verbal skills
BS or equivalent
Additional Desired
Experience:
SNMP, System V IPC Message queues, TCP
Service Provider exposure, familiar with functions within OSS/BSS
Software-based or hands-on experience with networking and systems infrastructure
Development experience with Cloud or Virtualized environmentsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
