Skills and
Experience:
Degree in
computer
/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, with prior exposure to automotive production level software development SW Project Manager
Microsoft Project
Strong customer interface skills, ability to negotiate requirements, SW content, deadlines, etc.
Familiarity with CMMI process and certification
SW development standards (V-model, Agile, etc.)
Requirements Traceability through development cycle
Experience with ISO 26262 / 16750 / 14229 standards is a plus

Summary:
The SW PM is responsible for managing the delivery of high quality, defect free SW which meets customer expectations. SW Deliveries should meet customer, electronic and manufacturing timing plans. SW PM's should work closely with the Technical Project Lead and Customer to capture delivery dates and content.
Qualifications:
Job Tasks/Responsibilities - Primary
Create manage and track project
vehicles
, including:
1. Project schedules
2. Detailed project plans
3. Project scope statements
4. Resource plans
5. Risk and issues logs
6. Status reports
Manage the day to day activities of projects and staff; communicate with project teams as necessary to ensure project deliverables are on schedule.
Communicate and collaborate with internal and external customers as needed in regards to project deliverables including managing expectations.
Make recommendations to management about schedules, prioritization and resource allocation with input from team members.
Work according to automotive software development processes
Work with technical leads to accurately estimate additional work associated with customer/internally driven Engineering Change Requests
Provide timely program updates to management and other program team members
Interface with customer both to negotiate delivery schedules and requirements
Interface with validation and verification to accurately assess SW status
Interface with program management to ensure SW is meeting overall program timing
Able to quickly sort out resource problems, and accurately / efficiently assign work products to appropriate individuals.
Comfortable working as with cross-functional / multi-national teams/customers
SW Programming Background
Demonstrate excellent communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
Ability to use strong industry knowledge to relate to customer needs and dissolve customer concerns and high level of focus and attention to detail.
Strong work ethic with good time management with ability to work with diverse teams and lead meetings.
