Client Server Administrator

Our client has an immediate full-time, direct-placement opening for a Client Server Administrator to join the team in their downtown Milwaukee office.
The individual in this role will assist the customer support staff with technical issues and queries related to the server environment, as well as monitor and assist engineering in improving the customer experience when interacting with our servers. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining databases and server applications, troubleshooting technical issues for server and network applications, providing Tier 2/Tier 3 support to the product support staff, and assisting in investigating issues with engineering staff. In addition, the incumbent will maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client systems and components, and monitor for improvement opportunities in servers and their applications.
Required
Qualifications:
Associate's Degree in
computer
Science, IT, or a related field, though a Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
A minimum of 3 years of related work experience in customer support, software configurations and troubleshooting.
Experience with SQL, Oracle, MS Server 2003 & Server 2008, SQL Server 2005 & Server 2008, Wireshark (or other network sniffer)
Working understanding of UDP & TCP network communications, and a working understanding of IIS setup, troubleshooting and configuration.
Must be able to work with virtual and remote teams, have an understanding of software development principles, and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
