Forensic Analyst Raytheon IIS is looking for individuals who can support the development and deployment of
information technology
services
for an overseas location. An expert in computer forensics analysis is needed to support the customer team. Position will require extensive travel to the Middle East.
Responsibilities: - Performs forensic analysis of digital information and physical evidence. - Provides specialized support by gathering, handling, examining, preparing, entering, searching, retrieving, identifying and/or comparing digital and/or physical evidence. - Uses forensically sound procedures to determine results. - Observes proper evidence custody and control procedures, documents procedures and findings and prepares comprehensive written notes and reports. - Develops, researches, and maintains proficiency in tools, techniques, countermeasures, and trends in computer and network vulnerabilities, data hiding, and encryption. - Utilizes software applications for the analysis and processing of digital images. Requirements: 6 years of applicable experience Must have at least a Secret clearance. A deactivated Secret clearance, provided it was not deactivated due to cause, will also suffice. Must be a US Citizen in possession of a valid U.S. Passport. Proficient in the use in at least one Computer Forensic tool. Examples include EnCase, Forensic Toolkit, DCFLDD, Ximager, Ilook, Safeback, Xways forensics, SMART or open source (Linux) forensic tools. Experience in Windows and/or Linux/Unix. Knowledge of cyber crime threats. Solid communication, organization, and problem solving skills. Must be willing and able to travel as required to the Middle East Desired Skills: Experience supporting international customers or working in the Middle East Desired Certifications: CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker) or other applicable cyber/security certification. Required Education (including Major): Technical Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or similar OR equivalent combination of education and experience (Tech BS Degree = 8 years of applicable experience). The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
