Reporting to the Director of User Experience, the intern will assist with a variety of projects, including desiging promotions and banner ads, landing pages, mobile web pages, user interfaces, and other visual design assets. Intern must be comfortable in Adobe Photoshop,
illustrator
and Fireworks and be able to design and output optimized production graphics to be implemented by our web development team.
Roles and
Responsibilities:
Provide design elements, comps, templates and other production ready graphics for use on various pages of
Re-touch, color correct, mask and other photo post-processing task
Requirements:
Major coursework in Web Design or equivalent major
Strong sense of design, layout, typography and branding for the web
Good communication skills
A good eye for detail
Ability to execute on tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
A teamwork philosophy, working closely with other designers, project managers and developers
Preferred Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator
Knowledge of other applications within Adobe
creative
Suite 5 or above
Familiarity of web technologies (HTML, CSS, Javascript, JQUERY, etc) is a plus
Proficiency in wireframing/prototyping software such as Axture is a plus, but not required.
Proficiency in Powerpoint is a plus, but not required
