The Server Administrator installs, administers, and optimizes enterprise level Servers in a high performance manufacturing architecture environment. Job duties include, but are not limited to: - Maintaining server environment 99.9% uptime. - Active Directory administration. - VMWare administration. - Disaster recovery and planning. - Creating and maintaining server procedure documentation. Qualifications, Education and
Experience: REQUIRED:- Bachelor's degree in IT or other relevant discipline and 2 years in server administration; OR Associate's degree or technical diploma/degree and 4 years experience; OR High School diploma and 6 years of Enterprise level IT experience. - Must have hands-on experience with IBM and Dell Servers. - Experience with Windows Server 2003, 2008 and other operating systems. - Strong knowledge of VMware. - Working knowledge of storage technologies, such as: SAN or NAS, Active Directory/Global Catalogue. - Knowledge of Windows platform(s), as well as MS SQL, Oracle relational database(s), and virtualization systems. PREFERRED:- 2 Windows Certifications, ie, MCSE/DBA. - Virtualization Administrator or equivalent certification/experience. - Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining all manners of server hardware and associated network equipment, including: SCSI, RAID, and I/O topology. - Familiarity with TCP/IP and other network protocols and operating system configurations.
