What is the
position
?
Create structure for the site architecture and metadata architecture. Work with business users to identify/define requirements and recommend solutions based on an understanding of the capabilities of SharePoint. Translate business requirements into functional/technical requirements, create wireframes and other documentation. Perform multiple steps of the software development lifecycle framework, including requirements, design (including estimating and prototypes), and testing.
What are the responsibilities?
Maintaining a proficient understanding of SharePoint system, applications processes, procedures and best practices including SDLC. Collect business requirements, analyze technical solution(s) to meet requirements, develops system requirements, works with development resources as required to implement requirements. Acts as a liaison between the business and IT for development and/or implementation of new systems.
Assess implications of leveraging enterprise features and recommend solution to include proof of concepts and prototypes
Plan and architect SharePoint environment. Design metadata architecture. Implement standards and processes for taxonomy development, maintenance of centralized schemas, and metadata management.
What are the qualifications?
4-6 years relevant experience
Must possess a deep technical and architectural understanding of all aspects of SharePoint
Strong understanding of information architecture design best practices and the elements of good user experience
Proven experience in creating SharePoint solutions based on business needs
Ability to recognize when SharePoint is not the right solution and can communicate alternative recommendations
Knowledge of evolving web standards
Strong understanding of InfoPath formsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
