Maintenance Technician for tier 1 automotive supplier
Description:
To maintain the equipment and implement improvement projects.
Essential Duties of the
position
:
SPECIFIC
Providing plant capacity by maintaining and improving all equipment
Maintaining a safe work environment
Working effectively as a team player and leader in achieving plant goals
Maintaining and improving facility and production capacity
Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance procedures utilizing computerized maintenance management system
Tracking and controlling maintenance inventory
Continuous improvement activities for all assets
Achieving maintenance and facility goals
Other tasks as required by Maintenance Coordinator
Additional responsibilities as required - this position is subject to change as the needs of the department change
SAFETY
Work in a safe manner and encourage others to do so.
Report all unsafe acts and conditions immediately
Use our Innovation process and the team concept to improve safety in the plant
Be proactively involved with improving working conditions.
QUALITY
Offer ideas for improvement of all systems and help implement them
Lead area in achieving plant quality objectives/goals
100% on-time delivery to customer
0 PPM on parts
Understand customer needs and work towards meeting and exceeding them
Develop and implement Poka-Yoke
Follow the standardize TS process
HOUSEKEEPING
Maintain the appearance of a World Class Facility
Actively support full implementation of the 5S's, using it to approach and keep all areas clean, neat and properly maintained.
CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT/ TRAINING
Actively involved with the Metalsa Model practices

Requirements:
Technical degree or certification in related field, or combination of education and related experience preferred
Preferred Not Required:
2 to 5 years manufacturing maintenance experience,
Requisite Skills:
Human Development
Good communication skills, verbal and written
Good organizational and time skills
Good interpersonal skills
Maintain an environment friendly plant
Equipment maintenance: hydraulics, pneumatics, programmable controllers and motion control, machine shop
Industrial safety
Prefer welding automation
Industrial electricity
Basic
computer
skills (spreadsheet, word processing, graphics, etc)
Prompt and regular attendance
Safety and Quality oriented
Able to work any shift with overtime, possibly on short notice
Ability to travel, overnight, overseas, for one or more weeks at a time
Physical Requirements of the Position
While performing the duties of this position, the
employee
is regular required to sit and talk or hear.
The employee regular is required to use hands to handle or touch.
The employee is regular required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
Normal vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to visually focus.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
