primarily under the SYLVANIA brand name in the US, and operate under the OSRAM brand in Europe, China and beyond. The Quality Team is looking for an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer. Working closely with the supplier quality and manufacturing teams, this position will be responsible for day to day supplier quality and supplier development functions.
Responsibilities: Perform supplier audits Work with suppliers on corrective action reports and product certification/inspection Project management (APQP/PPAP) activities related to new product launches The ideal candidate would also have experience with SMT. This includes all or some of the following: knowledge of electrical components, component kitting, handling (ESD), and SMT manufacturing processes like AOI. Qualifications Requirements Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical
engineering
(or very closely related field) Two - five years relevant quality engineering (or closely related) experience Effective prioritization and communication of workload, and must have excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal Related work experience in the PCBA, SMT production field preferred. Strong working knowledge of IPC solder standards a plus Knowledge of Quality systems: APQP/PPAP, FMEA's, Control Plans, TS 16949, correction action reporting and 8D methodology highly desired.
