Bench Scientist II needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in King of Prussia, PA. The Big Picture - Top Skills Should You Possess: - ELISA - SDS-PAGE - Western blot What You'll Be Doing: - Perform immunoassay assay support within BAS (assays include Biacore, ELISA, SDS-PAGE, etc). - Perform routine testing of antisera/antibody for residuals via ELISA, Western Blot assays, SDS-PAGE, qPCR. - Responsible for following, amending, and authoring standard operating procedures (SOPs). - Follow verbal and written instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform various job functions. - Perform any additional scientific duties as needed by the BAS department. - Perform data analysis using various
computer
software (including Microsoft EXCEL, Word). - Report data accurately and timely using a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). What You Need to Bring to the Table: - Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology or Biochemistry with one to three (1-3) years of experience within a Biopharmaceutical Research and Development environment is desired. - Experience in some analytical techniques such as ELISA, SDS-PAGE, Western blot, and Biacore is desired. - Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. - Ability to write well and communicate orally with ability to interface with laboratory personnel. - Knowledge of GMP requirements, concepts, practices, and procedures within a laboratory setting. - Experience with word processing and database software (ie Microsoft EXCEL, Microsoft Word, Labware LIMS) is desired.
