USPS-DHS Engineer Seeking a systems Engineer to support DHS and US Postal Service accounts. DHS
Responsibilities: DHS is constantly making modifications to their existing systems (RF site adds/deletes, network configuration changes, programming updates, etc.). Engineering support visits four DHS facilities each quarter (16 total visits per year, 30-40 days of travel per year) for the purpose of evaluating the customer's existing system configuration and comparing that configuration to existing documentation. - Review and document changes to system with the customer at each network hub. This includes changes within the network hub and changes at their associated remote sites - Each quarter, setup and maintain a changes/deliverables tracking sheet for each network hub - Each quarter, update: System description; System diagrams; Network documentation; Network hub photos - USPS
Responsibilities: Support survey, design, and installation of radios in US Postal mail handling facilities nationwide. The survey is designed to document the existing (old) system, plan for removal of that system and develop the design/installation plan for the replacement system. Engineering support tasks include: Survey Phase: - Perform site surveys and testing of performance/coverage of existing RF communications systems - Gather frequency information on-site using frequency counter - Gather existing system in-building system configuration from on-site survey - Generate Survey Reports (report of current system configuration and new recommended communications solution) - Build bill of material listing (ie equipment list) - Pre-Sale Phase: - Generate System Description - Finalize Bill of Materials - Implementation Phase: - Support order bridging process - Generate Acceptance Test Plans - Telephone support (field questions when installers call about survey/pre-sale documentation questions) - Conduct in-field coverage testing (in-building voice quality testing) - Finalize System Documentation SKILLS: Electrical Engineering or

Engineering degree required. Alternate degrees or technology degrees not accepted. - DHS background investigation/security clearance required. Existing clearance with DHS preferred, but primary requirement is the ability to obtain a clearance. - Vanguard networking product knowledge preferred - Ability to interface with the customer and with service technicians, program managers, and documentation specialists MYK62683JREstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
