Job Summary
Robert Half International is seeking a Credit Clerk to prepare/distribute various reports, including but not limited to, Over Limit, Small Balance Elimination, and Hierarchy Reports. The Credit Clerk will type and compile/distribute a variety of collection letters; processes check requests and credit memos. The Credit Clerk will Log, verify, photocopy, and forward and/or mail all live checks to Lockbox for posting. The Credit Clerk will prepare legal files for electronic submission to the Recovery Department; Maintain office file documentation. The Credit Clerk will process bankruptcy claims and update / maintain the bankruptcy logs. The Credit Clerk will sort and distribute incoming mail from lockbox to Credit Managers in a timely manner; generates/prints duplicate invoices, timesheets, and A/R Aging Reports for faxing, mailing and/or e-mailing to clients as requested.
The Credit Clerk will handle telephone reception as needed; monitoring and responding to general, department voicemail messages. The Credit Clerk will answer incoming overflow of client telephone calls; take messages and/or provides information, and/or directs caller to appropriate party. The Credit Clerk will provide clerical support to different collection teams during their clerk's absences and will handle other special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent.

years previous clerical experience required.
Intermediate proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Windows.
Ten key and basic math.
Ability to learn other applications easily.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
