SRA International is seeking to hire a Reporting Specialist / Systems Engineer. This full-time job opportunity will be located at our customer site NCI (National Cancer Institute) in Rockville,
maryland
.
The successful candidate will design, develop, implement and support reporting solutions for multiple tools and applications in support of performance and operational metrics analysis.
The Reporting Specialist supports programmatic, routine, and ad hoc report development, production, and analysis to address management of service delivery of infrastructure, security, and end user operational support. The reports include but are not limited to key performance indicators, operational metrics, compliance trends and routine reports. Works at various levels in the design and organization of complex reporting systems architecture, design, development and integration. Coordinates and identifies various types of system requirements utilizing best practice requirement analysis methodologies. Conducts architecture performance modeling and trade-off analyses, life-cycle cost analysis, risk assessments, and other system or program requirements. Assesses architecture and current system limitations, defines and designs system specifications, and evaluates input/output processes and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility. Coordinates design of subsystems and total system integration. Oversees all transition to operations and security compliance activities to include installation, integration, operations and maintenance. Works with configuration control board to ensure operational documentation that supports the mission of the business. Analyzes and resolves program support deficiencies. Conducts independent technical investigations in systems architecture and design. Evaluates vendor and subcontractor capabilities to provide required products or

Responsibilities:
o Designs and develops reporting models to meet business needs
o Develops ad hoc reports to support business decisions
o Develops customized ServiceNow ticket reports
o Develops Crystal Reports reports pulling from different data sources, such as Oracle, ServiceNow, SQL, data warehouse
o Contributes to design of data warehouse solutions
o Assists and handles reporting and data warehouse environments
o Develops reporting solutions to support Business Intelligence gathering
o Creates reports to provide system details for SLA support
o Recommends report types based on stakeholder requirements
o Updates stakeholders on third party reporting tools for consideration
o Troubleshoots and analyzes reporting and data warehouse issues' root causes
o Supports users on reporting and usage of interactive reporting tools
o Considers data aggregation to effectively present reporting picture
o Designs report layout and determines best way to offer data to users
o Implements business processes on report development and maintenance
o Contributes to the collection, review, and logging of data from multiple sources into database and/or data warehouse
o Oversees reports and deliverables complying with contract and program timelines
o Develops queries to extract data for user needs
o Tests reports and uses problem solving skills to determine problems' root cause and suggest solutions with users
o Records limits, sort order, scripts and relevant data to document report logic and operations
o Discusses with staff, users and management to develop requirements to create new report or revise current report
o Enhances reports within cost constraints

Qualifications:
o ITIL foundations certification or the ability to obtain certification within 3 months of hire
o 6
years substantive knowledge and experience with design, development and implementation of reporting solutions with experience required in the following areas;
o Experience with one or more reporting tools e.g. Crystal Reports, Business Objects, Cognos BI, IntelliVIEW, Excel Pivot Tables, look ups etc.
o Experience customizing reports from ticketing systems, preferably ServiceNow
o Experience using Crystal Reports to develop standard and ad-hoc reports
o Experience developing reports from data residing in relational databases
o Understanding of IT service management and common service level agreement measurements
o Experience interviewing stakeholders to determine reporting requirements
o Knowledge of web based report presentation and content management
Desired: Skills Desired Skills and Education:
o Experience designing data warehouse and using for reporting source
o Experience designing and developing dashboards and charts from data source(s)
o Experience analyzing data in reports to identify trends
o Familiarity with Windows performance monitoring and event logging tools
o Bachelor's Degree in Engineering,
computer
