Additive Manufacturing is the latest manufacturing technology utilized in aerospace manufacturing. This role includes:
1) managing a team of engineers to develop additive manufacturing capability for introduction to PWA engine applications.
2) management of multiple additive manufacturing laboratories that are used to procure prototype and development parts for use by both PWA and other UTC entities.
3)Development of engineering standards to design hardware specifically for additive manufacturing applications.
4) Participation with both industry consortiums and UTC initiatives to grow and develop additive manufacturing applications and use.
5) Interaction with leading universities developing Additive Manufacturing capability
6) Interaction with CIPTS, design discipline chiefs and the Value engineering team to evolve additive manufacturing for cost reduction opportunities
7) Coordination with additive manufacturing equipment suppliers to develop key parameters for manufacturing development
BS in Mechanical Engineering, Material Science or Aerospace Engineering More than fifteen years experience in aerospace engineering
Successful management experience
Strong relationship building skills
Less than 10% travel
Manufacturing experience beneficial
