Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering intern will be given assignments that include working with manufacturing/industrial engineers to gather data, identify areas of improvement, develop and document standard work, and participate in problem solving and root cause analysis.
Actual assignments will be reflective of project priorities.
Undergraduate or graduate degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering in process. Must have completed at least sophomore year.
Completed course work in core curriculum for engineering desired.
Minimum GPA of 3.0 overall and 3.25 or better in major. Experience with time studies, process analysis, and Lean/Six Sigma desired.
Candidates must have excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Candidates should be self-starters and able to work with minimal directions. Candidates must be able to communicate a clear understanding of their subject matter, work in cross-functional teams, respect individual differences, welcome diverse thinking, and offer informed suggestions to improve processes.
US citizenship or permanent resident alien status required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
