Senior PHP Developer

Younique Products, a rapidly growing cosmetics company that sells exclusively through Independent Representatives (Presenters) and an online business model, is seeking a qualified and self-motivated, senior-level PHP developer.
This position reports directly to the CEO, Derek Maxfield, who is a developer, and has already proven to be a successful entrepreneur. After founding his first company in 2003, he landed on the Inc. Top 500 for two consecutive years. In 2009, his company placed 11th in the nation and 1st in Utah as the fastest growing software company. Derek was recognized by Utah Valley Business Q Magazine twice as #1 and #8 overall for the area's fastest growing companies. He is now using that experience he learned while working with some of the very best direct-sales companies in the world to create an entirely new experience.
This is a full-time position; can be either contractor or employee status.
We are a small and agile development team, where your input and quick thinking skills will be a valuable asset and will have a direct impact on the company.
Experience building e-commerce and database driven web applications.
Proficient in PHP, MySQL, Javascript, and JQuery.
Experience with CakePHP or like PHP framework(s).
Experience in working with social networking APIs like Facebook.
Stays up to date with industry best-practices and technologies.
Experience with SVN or Git.
Experience with building a scalable high-volume transactional web application.
Experience deploying to the Ubuntu server platform.
Knowledge of other Javaxcript frameworks is a plus.
General understanding and enthusiasm of front-end development and user experience is a plus.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
