Job Description Position Title:
Lead Quality Assurance Manager and Test Engineer JOB SUMMARY The QA Manager/Engineer role will work closely with the production and engineering teams to ensure the quality of our platform and operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES Directly supervises Quality Assurance Team and Testers.
Ensures delivery against QA department goals and objectives to coordinate overall quality assurance schedule.
Comfortable with multiple programming languages including python and javascript, but with a sweet spot for Ruby and Rails.
Ensure product quality of the entire platform from front-end UI through back-end services including visual excellence, scalability and reliability.
Quality Evangelist that espouses Quality Goals throughout the company.
Follow Agile testing principles and continuously review, implement and communicate process improvements and quality metrics to the team.
Process Management Develop and manage quality assurance metrics for performance improvement of all teams.
Deployment and Delivery Orchestrates the delivery of software to Customer visible environments.
Responsible for creating task and checklists for software deployment, including follow up on acceptance testing.
MINIMUM
Qualifications:
5 years of software quality assurance experience, to include a minimum of 2 years in a lead role or management position Strong understanding of different software development life cycles (waterfall, iterative) and contemporary software quality assurance processes and automated tools Must be extremely detail-oriented with respect to documentation and communication BS or BA degree or equivalent experience (4
years) At least 3 years experience testing web applications and technologies from browser through back-end to database Knowledge of multiple programming languages appropriate for automated test environments (e.
g.
Python, Javascript, Selenium script and especially Ruby) Experience performance testing and benchmarking web applications using various approaches Experience with automated testing frameworks including Rspec, Watir, and Selenium Experience constructing test plans and executing against these plans across functional, regression, unit, system, performance, stress, and load testing Experience with defect tracking systems (e.
g.
, Bugzilla, Jira, Trac, etc.
) and use of automation and product-specific APIs to interact with them programmatically Strong analytical skills and experience with implementation and administration of Software Quality Assurance metrics, such as defect profiles and performance to entry/exit criteria Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to communicate detailed technical analysis Excellent interpersonal skills and a sense of humor Prosum is an EOE.
