Food Services Cashier

Responsible for cashiering, and providing professional and personal customer service in the food service operation. Stocks, organizes and maintains the cafeteria facility functions. Assists the Catering Events Manager in tracking and coordinating catering events.
JOB FOCUS
1. Prepares the cafeteria for opening daily operations and/or for closing and securing the cafeteria each afternoon.
2. Accountable for all cashiering duties, handling various sales transactions and forms. Responsible for the accurate reconciliation of daily financial report and preparing the deposit.
3. Ensures customers receive professional and personal service in the food service operation.
4. Monitors and stocks inventory of various service products and supplies for the food service operation.
5. Cleans and organizes front of the house, customer service areas, to assure a high standard of sanitation and cleanliness.
6. Assists in food production and preparation
7. Assists in the set up and service of routine catering and special event functions
8. Performs other related duties as required.
Education and Experience
Successful applicant must have at least one year of experience in related work with customer service skills.
A combination of work experience cashiering, and customer service could be used to fill this requirement.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Requires ability to read and write effectively with the ability to understand verbal and written instructions and procedures.
Must understand basic credit/debit accounting and operation of electronic cash registers.
Must have an understanding of basic food preparation techniques, and required to have or obtain a Davis County Food Handlers health permit.
Must be able to work both independently and in a team setting, and may require flexible schedule availability.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
