Sr. Network Engineer
We are currently seeking to add skilled Network Engineer to join our team. We have a fast moving fun work environment that would work well for someone with the following
skill set.
We require a variety of the attributes below, but no one attribute is absolutely necessary. Qualified applicants will likely have at least 5
years of hands on network experience.
What you will do:
Network architecture, management, security, maintenance, and layer 2 and 3 hardware for our local data center.
Work with external engineers responsible for peering points and upstream data.
Network documentation.
Internal and external firewalls.
Network monitoring, DDOS mitigation, and AIDE.
Potentially handle some contract negotiation and purchasing negotiation.
What skills the successful candidate will possess:
Hands on experience with Cisco, Brocade, and/or Juniper switches/routers/firewalls.
Experienced in client and site-to-site VPN's.
Experienced in LAN/WAN maintenance and configuration.
Experience with DDoS mitigation techniques and/or systems.
Must have very strong troubleshooting skills.
Preferred:
At least 5
years in Linux system administration experience
Background in Apache/MySQL setup and
configuration.
Comfortable installing and using common opensource apps.
(Example - MRTG, Xen, etc).
Experience with NFS / Bind or MyDNS / Qmail,Sendmail or Exim
/ MySQL / Apache
Experience in custom compiling kernels and adding kernel modules.
Experience with Centos, Redhat Enterprise or Fedora Core distributions.
Intermediate level of Perl programming would big a big bonus, but is
not necessary.
